If God is almighty, and controls absolutely everything... If He sees everything and even knows our thoughts... If His perfect purpose is already planned and will be carried out... Why do we pray?
Yet God has made clear that we are to pray. MacArthur has listed five reasons we should pray:
- prayer is commanded
- it is a sin not to pray
- prayer gives glory to God
- prayer aligns us with God's purposes
- prayer results in answers
Let's consider each of these just briefly over the next few days.
