We need to pray out of obedience if for no other reason. In fact, what more reason do we need than the sovereign God of the universe tells us to? Case closed! Fortunately for us there is more that compels and encourages us than a command but that should be enough.
The name of this blog is one such command 'pray without ceasing' (1 Thes 5:17). Paul tells us that we should be 'praying always with all prayer and supplication" (Eph 6:18)
Whether or not we understand how pray works, how it fits in to God's plan, we are required to pray purely out of obedience.
